For Manager Assimilation Exercises

Here we take care of two possible scenarios:

1. There is a new manager and the team needs to assimilate the new style of administration and communication

2. There is a conflict between a specific Manager and a specific Employee

New Manager Assimilation

The new manager will answer a Birkman Method Questionnaire

The results are discussed with:

· The Manager - So he or she understands the information in detail and the impact it will have over each team member

· The Higher Management - So he or she can better integrate with Upper Management

· The Team Being Managed - So the team can understand this manager’s work style and can answer specific questions about:

· How will the team members be measured

· How much reporting they will have to make

· How the manager shows to the team

· What the manager expects from the team

Conflict Between Manager and Employee

The manager and the employee will each answer a Birkman Method Questionnaire.

The Birkman Consultant will generate the individual report for each person and the Compatibility Report. 

· The Manager will receive feedback on the Birkman Personality Assessment results

· The Direct Report will receive Feedback on the Birkman Personality Assessment results

· Each will be instructed in the other person’s Personality Components

· They will both discuss the Birkman® Compatibility Report

· A set of do’s and don’ts is documented and agreed to follow through

· A future follow up date is agreed so that an Empowered-Teams coach can visit and review the results
